RE: [Harp-L] Here Comes the Bride
Hey blooze,
I did this last spring for my sons wedding @ Bald Head
Island N.C., I did use my mandolin and chose the traditional march in Bb.
What I did was to play through the beginning (the most recognizable part)
then shifted gears and jazzed up the song a little on the chorus then
finished the song traditionally towards the end. Had a younger group of
people there and they seemed to enjoy the arrangement. I'm no musical whiz
kid just played it how I felt it and all went well. The same approach could
be done with harp as well. I will say that I did do a test run for the bride
first.

Subject: [Harp-L] Here Comes the Bride
My niece's wedding is happening soon and she up and decides that she would
like for me to do the "Here Comes the Bride" part on harp. I'm flattered she
asked, and of course I'll do it. Anyone have a good version they might
share?
