The Zoom will record to various MP3 formats (192 kbps, 320 kbps, etc.) too. My guess is that on a live recording with the built-in mics you will hear little or no difference between 16 bit 44.1 kHz WAV and 320 kbps MP3. And you'll get hundreds of hours of recording time with the MP3 format.
Of course, if you're planning to make a for-real recording (like for commercial release), then 16 bit 44.1 khz is better. But if that was the case, you'd probably front-end the Zoom with better mics too, not to mention a whole lot more prep work in the room.
