Re: [Harp-L] Shocking problems
guess ur right..thanks.
i got a guy i can take it to.
..funny thing.. i was doin a blues thing with some guys
in a packed club saturday night, when i got shocked last.
i had been getting pretty good at singin just far enough from the mic
and/or puttin the harp mic down on the case just arms length away
(careful not to reach down and even touch the mic while singin either).
..but i got a little carried away for the last, and worst, shock,,,
3rd set,, singin Goin Down Slow, believe it or not.
freakin thing blew up on my lip,, everybody kinda saw and heard
it pop,,, nothin i could do but start laughin and continue the song.
i got a nice clap after that song,,,, not worth my lips or my life tho..
at least i would have went out to a good song!
takin my cheap ass to my amp tech.

My first suggestion is to do one of two things IMMEDIATELY:
1) Fix that amp, or
2) Pay whatever premium is due on your life insurance policy.
If you need a good tech, Ron Holmes at Holmes Engineering can fix the amp
at a very reasonable cost.
I wouldn't touch the thing again until SOMEONE has fixed it. People have
been killed by
electrical shock in circumstances very similar to the ones you describe
above.
