Check Pat Missin's "altered states" for slot size
compatibility.
For examle the 5 draw from a D SP20,GM, or MB harp
could replace the 7 blow of a G harp in any of the
above models. If a pitch change is needed, most people
find lowering the pitch preferable.
While we are on the subject does anyone know the
porpose of the color bands on some Hohner reeds. I
originally thought it was for dampening ,like turbo
tape. I accidentally learned that alchohol removes it
instantly with seemingly no ill effects and have
stopped worrying about preservig it, however I am
still curiouse about it's porpose.
