The reedplates for the Golden Melody and the Special 20 are not the
same, and Kinya did not say that they are. What he actually wrote was
"the reed sets are identical." What he meant was that the reeds
themselves are the same sizes and shapes. What he did not entirely
make clear is that the reedplates themselves differ in size, shape,
and hole punching (Ijust did a direct comparison). One could not be
made to fit the other without huge alteration.
It would be far easier just to retune some of the reeds on a Golden
Melody to match the Special 20 tuning.

Make you wonder why they do not sell interchangable reed plates for
these two models?
