I don't agree with this one bit. A good musician is in control at all times and plays with intention. This is hard to do and is something that I personally am working towards. The ideas come and you execute them as you hear them.
In eastern culture there is a term called Monkey Brain which means a person's brain is spinning out of control as it thinks through a million different scenerios; often in a negative direction. Having fear and anxiety only fosters Monkey Brain.
Quell the money and the music will flow. Listen to it and play it.
