Re: [Harp-L] Effectiveness (?) of Waxing the Rivet End

Also, is this method particularely effective towards the overblowing
techniques?
Lee Oskar's harps squeel when you overblow. For other harps (SP20, Golden
Meldies) you don't need to do that.
The remedy is nail polish at the rivet or gummy poster stuff in the middle
of the reed (Pascal Veillette's method). The second method may require
re-tuning.
I don't use Lee Oskar's so I'm no expert here.

Subject: [Harp-L] Effectiveness (?) of Waxing the Rivet End
What exactly is the specific procedure involved in waxing the rivet end of
the reeds? Also, is this method particularely effective towards the
overblowing techniques?
Much Appreciated,
Greg
