This is the key.  And if you've done some tinkering yourself, and discovered 
what your alterations do to the playing characteristics of your harps, 
you'll be in a far better position to get the customiser to do what you want 
because you'll be able to hold an intelligent conversation with him/her.  
Best of both worlds.
