Re: Vampires [Harp-L] Richard Hunter "Stone Castle" in Broadjam top 10

Scary stuff indeed! I really enjoyed the tone of the harmonica on this
track.

Let me chime in with something along the same lines, I think this
on-topic :) On the latest record by Rex Rudi, where I'm the harmonica
guy, there's a vampire song too, it's called Vakre vampyr (lyrics in
Norwegian), that would be ~ Lovely Vampire in English. It's a
rock'n'roll song with a gothic twist, and it starts and ends with a
harmonica theme mixed in with various scary sounds.

The harp recording was done with very ordinary equipment, an Astatic
microphone and a Deluxe Reverb amplifier that belongs to the recording
studio, Hering 1923 in D. (If you listen very carefully, there's also
a part played on a low D, during the guitar solo, that's meant to
sound evil like a vampire barking, or smth along those lines.)

You can find the song here, number 9 on the list under "Fra Backbeat
og begjær (2005)":

(Of course, feel free to check out the rest of the album as well!
There's harmonica on tracks 2, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13.)

Best,

Johan.
