[Harp-L] Re:Pro harp players

When you become a Hohner endorsee, which I did about 10 years ago, you have
to send in material for them to review to prove you are worthy to support
their product. If you are approved, what you get in turn is an endorser's
discount on their products, you buy directly from Hohner, not just walk in a music
store and show an endorser card or anything like that. I think it was half
price. Now I still play Hohners, I just pay my fee for custom harps as they work
best for me. My builder sets them how I like them for varied styles, once I
got my first Filisko in 94 I was done buying off the rack. I never minded
hard work so having 3 jobs at the time allowed me not to think about every penny
I spent on a harp. I plan on playing the instrument until I die so why not
buy the best and enjoy it. If just starting out it doesn't matter, you gotta
get your lips in shape first anyway.
