You got the tube setup right, good memory.  I also used a Marshall Power
Soak in conjunction to Don's excellent suggestion, which really helped with
reverb issues (which were non-existent).  The Power Soak allowed me to
saturate the tubes without feedback, at about whatever volume I wanted.

Sadly, about 6 months ago my '65 Blackface Super Reverb was stolen . . .
