Re: [Harp-L] Mardi Gras Mambo
Thanks RG.
I am now helping book the Wild Bohemians's (10-13 guys!!! give or take a 2nd
line)
The harp can definitely be a presence with the horns. I used to use a
Honey belt buckle amp , now I am stepping up to a pignose or small Roland.
During the parade we go in & out of taverns & restaurants along South
Street.
The harp can carry well, so I spent some time learning all the material.
(The trick is to not get to drunk and get flabby lips)
Also I always get a big solo on St. Louis blues & Mean old world.
The funny thing is the harp can actually mimic the trombone, guitar, accordion
and trumpet-not to mention rhythmic chording.
We have a bad thing in our hands....;-)

PS. We bought a bunch of ('di-chic-ee's) to wear,
only 10 bucks at value city!
The AA lady asked Ben,our bandleader:
"What 'choo want with so many mau-mau's honey?"
