.....most likely...but you just can't be the first Act! Takes a girl a
while to get her stuff together....so I was running late that night. We're on
for this year, though, right?(I can't believe I'm going to let you drag me to
an open mic...though the jury's still out on that one - stage fright might
still win out :)

Still waiting to hear some cool, hot, Bluesy, R&B Jazz. Well at least
that's my definition of what's in my head....this time I've got to hit the Jazz
Jams as well as the Blues Jams...hard to fit them both in when they always ran
concurrently.

I should have added that Randy Singer's come awfully close to satisfying my
whole Smooth Jazz appetite. His CD's still rotating in my CD player. Now I
just need some more rawer saxophone sounds.

I've been unable to hear the clips I want of Damien's music....while I
thoroughly enjoyed some of the Brazilian music..a steady diet of it isn't
completely to my taste...I'm waiting to hear more of his other stuff...and I actually
liked some of the different cuts off Clint Hoover's other CD's than Serpent
Dog (which I couldn't download). The Mississippi River one he played on was
beautiful....

But I'm still trying to listen to Paul Routledge (of this list)'s diatonic
blues CD's. I need to hear them several more times before absorbing
completely....so far his one CD is pretty terrific...Paul's from England and the CD
is Mellow Down Easy. His chops and tone are fabulous. I'm getting kind of
hung up on his voice too ...being British...there's nothing like hearing
someone pronouncing the Tuesday properly in Stormy Monday and still have it sound
perfectly Bluesy....be still my heart! :)
