hey ron!
larry is another one of those guys that plays several instruments
incredibly well - his harp work is no exception. a couple years ago wade
schulman was hosting one of his harmonica convergence gatherings at his
loft in NYC. when i came in larry was huddled in the corner with howard
levy playing stony point so fast and clean it made my head spin. since
playing fiddle tunes is one of my specialties i was thoroughly stunned
to meet yet another local musician who plays harp casually as a second
instrament better than most of the best of us. oh well.....

Years ago i got lucky and taped from the radio a song by
banjoist Alan Munde's group called the Nashville Super Pickers, or
somesuch. They did the instrumental, Sailor's Hornpipe, with a knockout
harmonica break done by Larry Wexer. Any harp player that good should
be well known, i would have thought.
Subsequent research revealed that he is also a seller of
vintage guitars in Manhattan. His website says, "by appointment".
Anybody familiar with him or his work?
ron
