I first met Larry Wexer at a NAMM show in Anaheim, CA when I was playing
with Frank Strnad (Strnad Harmonica Pickups) and George Pierson at
Frank's booth, probably in the mid-1980's. Larry came by our booth,
attracted by the harmonicas, and we met briefly. He was there
representing Mandolin Brothers, for whom he was sales manager, and a
respected appraiser of valuable guitars, etc.
He was (is) an accomplished harmonicist, but that is more of a sideline
with him, with respect to his status
in the world of fine collectible guitars. In other words, he is not the
harmonica "fanatic" as most of us are.
