If you can afford 500ish, I'd highly recommend this unit,
http://tinyurl.com/lmkp6
The latest technology, along with two 12ax7 tubes. One to color the input,
and another to color the signal going out. I've tried the Digitech, Pods,
V-Amps, and the Vox Tonelab, and this is the first product that has that
tubey, headroom, in your face, punchy feel that you get from an amp.
Several of the pre-set patches sounded good for harp without any tweeking,
which never happened with the other units.. Granted, I haven't tried it
live yet, but it sounds outstanding plugged directly into my soundcard.
This is basically a tube amp with all the amp modeling, and digital effects
built in. I haven't even started the tweeking process yet because I've been
so pleased with the pre-set patches. If you live anywhere near a Sam Ash,
they have them pluged in and ready to test so you can try before you buy.
Unforunately, Guitar Center does not carry the pedal. If you're looking for
a multi effects unit, I'm almost positive this is as good as it gets right
now, at least in the less than 1K price range.
