"Dear Harmonica Community:

We are going to the Asian Pacific Harmonica Festival in Taiwan Aug 2-6.
This festival claims to be the largest harmonica festival in the world.
Documenting this event will greatly benefit the film and potentially
increase its international exposure. Then, we will be at SPAH in Denver.

We welcome comments, advice, support, etc. Please let us know that what we
are doing, this film, is worth it to you and all harmonica players.

Thanks always,

Todd Slobin
Pocket Full of Soul: The Harmonica Documentary"

....I envy you that trip, Todd...and you and everyone here already know what
I think.

I've already suggested to Todd that he and Marc set up a PayPal account (as
several Harp players and other good causes have thought to do)....for us to
help defray what I never before knew was a totally unfunded Harmonica
documentary. If all of those interested in seeing this film finally come to
fruition were to chip in a buck or two here and there (and I'd be very happy to be
first to contribute if they set up an account)...imagine how good it'll feel
when we finally see the finished product....knowing we helped out in a small
way? I know I'd be very content.

And it'll be something wonderful and concrete to have to look back on for
this time in our lives. I noticed Todd had Sammy Myers listed as one of his
prior interviewees. Sammy passed away on July 17th. How many more will, who
are in this film? Isn't it sad that there was no one with the presence of
mind to do such a film with all of the old harmonica greats before they died?
There is no downside to this documentary...our involvement can only be
good...a win-win situation - for us and these two guys who've been working so hard
putting in their time, money and talents to create the perfect harmonica
documentary: Pocket Full of Soul.....that's a great title....says it all.

Just to have so many of the great harmonica players I've come to know,
respect and call my friends over the last couple of years memorialized on
film....is priceless in my book.
