my band opened for sam meyers with anson funderburgh and the rockets a couple 
years ago at a blues thing.   even though i had not yet even met mr. meyers, 
one of his band members informed me that sam meyers had offerred to let me use 
his harp rig if i wanted. it was two old amps daisy chained together and an 
extremely well used and rickety-appearing bullet mic. i declined the offer 
partly since i didn't want to break anything.    point being, that was a very 
magnanimous offer sight unseen .   he must have been a very generous man.
