Re: [Harp-L] Bose PA

If you are talking about the Bose column PA, I know a rock/blues band that
uses two with their amps on stage quite successfully. One of the columns
worked fine, but not all of their deaf players felt all that comfortable not
being overwhelmed by stage sound like they were used to (the bass player's
words, not mine), so they are now playing with two columns -- one on each
side. The bass player cannot tell me enough about how great Bose' columns
are to work with, even in a very electric situation.

I am an acoustic player and have played with one column on many occasions.
I like the system. Even when we were technically too close to the column
with the mics (the stage was the depth of a wide sidewalk), it did not feed
back unless we allowed the mics to have a clear path to the column. If we
stood between the mic and the column, there was no feedback (even though we
were unreasonably close to the column).
