Jim,
I was one of those who ordered the last Torpedo mics and I've found the same
as you - it has about the same output as an Electro-voice RE-10 at 150 ohm
impedance. I plan to use it exclusively for work with acoustic (country
blues) players, plugged directly into their PA's.
Someday, if I find it redundant, I may pull the element and refit it with a
Shure 99H86. If I do, I'll let you know the results.
