This list is a great resource and I have benefited from being a subscriber.
Most of the contributing members are happy to help, but I have seen the
confusion in some beginners so I offer this brief guide.
Here is what I look for in a review or piece of advice:
1.) Source
2.) Depth
3.) Balance
Source: While a person's skill and/or experience lends credence, I give the
most weight to reviews that are well thought out.
Depth: A simple "I like it." is not good enough. I prefer a detailed
description of the whys and hows.
Balance: We all have bias. I look for reviews that acknowledge this and at
least try to transcend this limitation.
It might also be helpful to remember this; you do not hear with your ears,
see with your eyes, taste with your tongue or feel with your hands.
Everything is processed through your mind.
In other words, almost everything is subjective.
