Hi Steve,
To be honest I don't know about the 16 hole Chromatische Mundharmonika
"Chromonika III". Unfortunately I have none in stock at present otherwise
I'd scan it in to show.
With the old 270s and 280s I was refering to, have the blow and draw
reeds facing opposite ways, each chamber went back only as far as the
reedslots, and there's a little alcove just big enough to allow for the
blow valve's heel. The floor of each chamber stays level all the way to
the back.
My knowledge of the various Hohner chromatic combs is very sketchy at
best, I'm hardly an authority, but I do sit up and take notice with things
that effect performance of the instrument.
Frankly I wish chromatic wood combs were replaced with decent plastic.
