Another possibility is to play in 4th position on a "C" harmonica - all of
the notes in the Am scale occur naturally (without bends) starting on hole 6
draw (A) and going up the harp to hole 10 draw (A) - a complete octave! If
the song is truly in Am (natural minor = Aeolian mode), this is the best
option (IMHO).
If you want to work at it with some bending, you can start on hole 3 draw
bend two halftones (A), pick up with hole 3 draw (B) and continue up to hole
6 draw with no other bends to get the scale notes. The difficulty here is
that the tonic (A) occurs on a bend; that can be difficult to hold
accurately.
I'm sure there are other possibilities in other positions on other harps,
but I'll leave that for someone else to explain.
