The nice thing about the Marshall 18 Watt is it is an all-tube amp. Like the
Fender Champ and the Kalamazoo amps, it was intended as any entry-level
beginners amp. It was made for only a very short time before an "improved"
20 watt model took it's place. And like the Champ and Kazoo, it is known for
having great tone at reasonable volumes when driven hard.
