Re: [Harp-L] Anyone going to Byron Bay (Oz) Blues Fest?

G'day Nate,
I am in a group of six flying out of Auckland to go to the festival, but looking at this years line up I wish i had gone last year instead.I am almost wondering how they can call it a Blues 'n roots festival:I mean eg Jamie Cullen!
Only harp looks to be with the local bands like the Backsliders etc(they are very good)
Never mind, every time i have been over to the festival I have had great time, best memory was of RL Burnside playing in the rugby changing rooms to packed crowd of young surfies really gettin' off on that hill country missisippi boogie.A lot of the best music is often away from the big marquees.
Cheers
Rick
