[Harp-L] Re: Deconstructing

    Hi m...

Like Scooter, I played mainly pucker for the first 10 yrs.
Then, during a 2 months stay in the US, I met many top blues players. I won't name 'm all here, but each and every one insisted I add tongue block technique to my playing (which I had been using thus far only in octave playing).
Reluctantly (old dog, new trix and all that) I started doing some homework.
Again some years later I heard a mr. Levy, and couldn't believe my ears.
I endeavoured a new journey once more, to learn overblows and -draws.
Today I use all those in a mixed bag, and am happy I made the efforts.
Also, like the Iceman mentioned, trying new things gives you new ideas. At the moment I'm learning a weird (I don't think anyone uses this one) alternate tuning (which I used to think is a sissies thing) and have a ball with it.
So... go for it I would say; you'll only find regret in not trying.
