Hi Eric,
  Brendan Power offers low tunings on 16 hole and 12 hole Hohner
chromatics.  Some years ago, I purchased a Power CX12 in Bb augmented
tuning starting on Bb2 (Bb two octaves below middle C, covers 4 octaves),
and he used solder to achieve that.
  Brendan also offers half valving with any of his custom chromatics.
