[Harp-L] Amplifier channel bridgeing for better tone

I have heard people talk about bridgeing the 2 channels on an amp to get 
better tone. Do you just plug a cord between the 2 channel inputs and then 
plug your mic into one of the channels or is there more to do? Can you do 
this on any amp with more than one channel as long as there are inputs?
