I quickly downloaded and tested Riffster and found it to be very cool, easy to use and useful. There is a FREE version as well (RiffsterLite) which has same basic features as Riffster. Some diffs being you can only slow tempo down to 80% and there is only one loop so you can only loop one part of a song at a time. No phase button either which attempts to eliminate vocals or bring out rythms. But pretty useful for FREE.
I also use a plug-in for Audacity, (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) whcih is a FREE audio editing software platform for Windows and Linux, that has the ability to change tempo without changing pitch. Works well but not as user friendly as Riffster.
