Oh yes, Skankin' Frank, from the Golden Age of Augusta Heritage.
 
Frank was always very low key about his abilities, but my ears heard a solid player. (Also, to all that have seen my custom leather harmonica case and lusted after it, Frank is the guy that built it for me using my design).
 
Frank, Carlos Del Junco and I did a great weekend hang back in '93 or so, N of Toronto by about 1 hour drive, where Carlos was appearing with Bill Kinnear at a small club. Last I heard, Frank was in Japan teaching, I believe, English. Guess he's back in Canada now.

Frank Scanga is Not Unknown... I have a photo of Skankin' Frank Scanga
(Paul Messinger's nickname for him) from the Augusta Heritage workshop
with Howard Levy, along with Paul, Carlos Del Junco, Sandy Weltman, the
Iceman, Rosco, Bob Meehan, and Gary Green, among others. How cool is
that? What the hell was I doing there?
