Taylor Hicks was mentioned here recently as the only Blues singing Harp  
playing entrant into this year's American Idol Contest.  Tonight it was fun  
watching him deciding to play his diatonic as he walked into the "last judgment"  
room....where he'd find out if he'd made the cut of the 12 male finalists.   
When the judges gave him the good news he played some harp yet again...then sang 
 and played more before leaving (the only contestant doing anything remotely  
similar).  So...I'm sure that his Blues harp playing will find its way into  
the contest in some manner this year...behind the scenes and on the "human  
interest" stories done on the contestants.  This can only be great  publicity 
for harmonica players.  Further, on Aol there is  already a website devoted to 
him and his music.  He already has a huge  following.
