I caught Curtis Salgado's set at Harvelle's in Santa Monica on Friday night. Curtis is a great
player and entertainer. Surprisingly in an hour long set he played only about ten minutes of
blues. The rest of the set was R&B, Soul and Zydeco influenced. The crowd loved it and was
dancing to every tune. I heard some 1st, 2nd and 3rd position playing and a little chromatic.
And of course Curtis' outstanding vocals. Nice show Curtis!
