If you you want to play live, learn to schmooze, to take compliments  
graciously, to return the compliment--"Thanks. I'm having fun. You  
guys are a great audience", always smile and always look like you're  
having fun--even if it's the gig from heck. It's called customer  
service in the retail industry.

The same goes for your band mates. Let the small stuff slide and  
always be polite and easy going. Makes life in the band easier.
