I'm no biologist, but I can't imagine that any amount of swabbing with alcohol would get rid of the bits of stuff that are inevitably in every played harp...and I wouldn't be so worried about the communicable diseases risk (which is probably very low) as much as the inhaling...well....stuff risk.  (I apologize for reviving harp-L recurring debate #71.)  Or am I the only one that ever occasionally inhales something noticeable from his own harps?
 
On a slightly related topic, any risk to putting a harp in one of those ultrasonic cleaners every few months?  Disassembled, of course.
