First, I know and have played with Popper, he is incredibly nice and gave me plenty of space to do my solo and then was tasteful during the "two harps going nuts" part of the song.
What I heard about the Stones was Jagger would not let him sit in because the Stones already HAD a harp player (Jagger himself) and two's a crowd!
