I am not yet a customizing expert, so....Before removing the reed plates, i
mark both blow and draw with a magic marker. I also mark holes 4, 5, and 6
with a dot and hole 7 with a slash, so i can zero in on specific reeds more
quickly. I also wear my best power reading glasses for this particular job
(one power magnification more than my reading glasses). In addition to my
eyeglasses, i use a magnifying glass, but wish i had one of those desk lights with
the magnifier built in. Anyone know where they are available online?
Why sand both sides of the comb? I'd be afraid to damage or alter reed
tunings.
