Re: [Harp-L] Apology

I once ran into this problem w/Chris Michalek.

It may be best to add "OFFLIST" to the subject when responding offlist to a poster regarding comments to avoid confusion.

Subject: [Harp-L] Apology

I've been made aware of the fact that my e-mail skills are sub-standard.

When I see "(harp-l)" in the subject matter, I tend to assume that the sender
has posted this to "harp-l", making it a public matter. As a result, I responded
to "fjm" publicly, when his (her?) e-mails were allegedly not public. For this I
apologize to "fjm" and to the list.

As I am primarily a reader on this forum, and not a frequent participant, it
seems good to me that I go back to the hole I came from and continue to
participate in a strictly reading capacity, especially since my knowledge of
e-mail practices and protocol seems to need some remedial training.

Cheers and best wishes to all.
