I'd left this out until I confirmed the problem.  The acoustic guitar 
ended up being mic'd on stage because the sound personnel claimed that 
the guitar's pick up was bad.  Not true.  The problem was they took a 
low level signal and tried to direct it into the board without a DI box 
in between.  That board wants to see a 1/4 volt to be happy.  Silly 
guys.  fjm
