Here's another suggestion.  Check out Greg Huemann's site
blowsmeaway.com and listen to the Kalamazoo sound.  It's a lot less than
$500 and can be mic-ed through the P.A.  These are old amps that Greg
fixes up.  I have one and love it.  Only 5 wts. but potent.  No affiliation.
