Have you ever heard Sonny Boy Williamson do, "I Can't Understand"?
It's amazing. In fact you need to get the entire album from which it
came, "Keep It To Ourselves." It's got Sonny Boy doing a number of
solo songs and it's on i-Tunes. Rick Estrin does a pretty fine
version of "Crawling King Snake" unaccompanied too. James Cotton's
version of "Evan's Shuffle" works nicely. I've done all three plus
I've written a few songs that work well unaccompanied. You'll
probably want to figure out how to stomp loud enough to do your own
percussion. My recollection is that Sonny Boy stomped on a 2x4 for
"Can't Understand"
