[Harp-L] Phrygian major

The scale Jason is talking about:
  1 2b 3 4 5 6b 7b 8
Or in the key of C:
  C Db E F G Ab Bb C
is not just the Fifth mode of harmonic minor, it has its own name:
Phrygian Major. The name came from the phrygian scale: 1 2b 3b 4 5 6b 7b 8, then called "major" because it is the scale scale with a major third.
For those non-chromaticizers out there try 5th position where 2, 5 and 8 blow are the tonic:
  1 means 1 blow
  1- means one draw
1-* means 1 draw single bend
1-** means 1 draw double bend etc.
  X means a missing note
  2 2-** 3-*** 3-** 3- 4 4- 5 5- 6-* 6- 7- 7 8- 8 9- X 10- 10* 10
1 and 1- are also in the scale, just lower than the lowest tonic.
  Thank you,
