Yes comfortable is important. In our band we wear shorts and hawaiian shirts 
and sandals as we play lots of Jimmy Buffett and beach music along with old 
rock n roll. Most are outside venues and it gets hot in South Texas. If it a 
nicer venue inside we may wear kacki slacks and the hawaiian shirts. We look 
the part of what we are playing and are comfortable.
