[Harp-L] Backing tracks

While putting together some blues backing tracks to play along with for a
possible small teaching gig, I reviewed what I had on hand...
some MIDI files from Band-in-a-Box, a few tracks from Jon Gindick and Dave
Barrett, and some MultiTrax from PGMusic. Then I came across a CD I hadn't
heard in a while that I think I can recommend to folks looking for GREAT
backing tracks. It's from Homespun Tapes (same folks who bring you Madcat's
Rhythm lesson and N. Buffalo's DVD's) and it's called "Rock and Roll Back-Up
Session".

14 live tracks with excellent drums, bass, guitar, keys in different
styles/keys including Std Blues, Slow Funk (great fun), Chuck Berry, Minor
Blues, Doobie Bros, Jimmy Reed, James Brown, Hendrix, New Wave, Geo Benson,
Reggae, Rockabilly. It's made for guitarists so it has a whole lot of
different grooves that can really get your playing chops in order. I think
it would be very good practice for an aspiring rock harp player. I know
there are some other fine products for practice from the folks mentioned
above, and also from Pete Schmidt and Doug Puls, among others. But if you
are interested in some top-notch, kick-ass play-along tracks, check it out.
