That's always a cute one, but how about (since it's a talent
competition) just playing really, really well? 

In this Jerry Springer world I know the kid that plays "Mary Had a
Little Lamb" by farting or squeezing his hands together (or playing the
harp with his @ss for that matter) would probably beat him, but at least
your student would have his dignity.
