[Harp-L] SITTING IN STORIES
Has to be the highlight of my harp playing career. I was in the audience at
the towne crier in pawling,n.y. for a james cotton show. i was in the front
row, clapping and singing to most of james' music. towards the end of the
show, james starts holding his mike and harp out to people in the front
row, asking if they wanted to play-of course ,most people said no. when he
held the mike and harp out to me ,i stood up and took the mike, and started
playing. i stood there for about 2 minutes, jamming with dave maxwell and bob
margolin. james was staring with his mouth hanging open,as if he was in
awe,but it was me who was in awe. what a great night!!! nothing will ever
equal that expierience, and i have pictures and a hand written story from a
photographer who
was sitting at my table. after the show,i got james autograph, and i asked
him how he knew i was a harp player-he said"i just knew you were, man".
