A local flea mkt booth here sells dental picks, the kind used by a hygenist to clean plaque off teeth.  They come in many different sizes and shapes. This could be used as a hooked point tool.
 
A brass spark plug gapping tool could be used to create the spatula.
 
What are Shofru Brownies? Do they have walnuts in them?
