If you want to play"The Harmonica Player"-by David Guion the way John
Sebastian, Sr. plays it, you need to practice your octaves with the
third harmony attached to the octaves. The basic split is at the
tritone of Bb and E. So if you play the octave Bb's the third of Gb is
added on the right side of your mouth. This stays right side until the
octave E's where the third of G is added on the left side of your
mouth. This looks with the ------- being your tongue:
Bb-----Gb,Bb
A--------F,A
Ab-------F,Ab
G--------E,G
Gb------Eb,Gb
F--------D,F
E,G-------E
Eb,Gb-----Eb
D,F--------D
Db,F------Db
C,E--------C
B,D--------B
to
Bb------Gb,Bb
Harmonically yours,
Robert Bonfiglio
