Oops!!  Too little sleep finishing the website!  I misspoke near the end 
of my post on this subject...

Doug and I met on Harp-L, yes, but in 1995, not 1996.  I was thinking 
about our first in person meeting at BHF in '96, I guess.  At least, 
that's the story I'm sticking to! ;)  It's much clearer, and more 
accurate, in the stuff I wrote at the website, honest!

But, it was April 18, 1995, Doug wrote the list asking how to subscribe 
and I was his first reply contact with directions.  It was sure different 
in those days.  "Please subscribe me" and "Unsubscribe me please!" posts 
all over the bloomin' archives!!  I just told Doug, "Send a message 
stating only SUBSCRIBE HARP-L Douglas Tate", and the following April, we 
had our first Renny prototype at Buckeye, designed entirely over the 
Internet!  For the record, tho', here's his first post to Harp-L, just as 
I said!
