i've always been partial to names that refer to
physical infirmities or disease - you know Blind Owl
Wilson, Peg Leg Sam, Shakey Jake. in that spirit, my
favorite blues name actually comes from the Simpsons.
though he was a sax player, his homelessness and
ever-present shades marked him a blues man: Bleeding
Gums Murphy.
i'm still working on my own "disease"-linked.
