[Harp-L] Re: Harp-L Digest, "Big River" quiz
Yes, the word is nonesuch.
The musicians do have a name but it would not be obvious.
I found it out by accident. It is not listed in the playbill but i
bellieve it is in the score. There is more to the story but i can't
reveal it or i would give it away.
So far you are in the lead.

Hello, Emile. This is a reply to your quiz about the Broadway musical. "Big
River."
The one word used on stage might have been "nonesuch."
The name of the group of musicians (harmonica, fiddle, guitar) on stage:
When I performed it
(3 times, twice as a harmonica player, once as percussionist), the on-stage
trio group had no name.
If your question is about the names of the original cast musicians, the only
one of the trio that I can remember is the harmonica player, Don Brooks.
John Broecker, Milwaukee Harmonica Club.
